Her Ministry

Children's

Raquel started working with the youth with Templo Bethel in San Antonio, Texas.

Once she moved to Houston she attended Primera Iglesia Assemblia De Dios and worked with the youth and the missonettes, she worked with the Daises and Prims.

Young People

She worked with young couples, Dr. Love.

Young people would find her easy to talk to without judgement.

Our Founder

Raquel L Segovia

Raquel's Early Years

Mom was born in San Antonio Texas to Juan and Matilde Lopez.

She resided on Colima St in San Antonio with her parents, her older sister Maria Olga, her younger sister Evangelina, her Niece Esther Esquivel and her Maternal Grandmother Justa.

She traveled with her parents and external family throughout South Texas picking fruits and to the Panhandle picking cotton as migrant workers.

She attended De Zavala Elementary, Rhodes Middle School, Fox Tech High School and, Business College in San Antonio. 

Her home church was Templo Bethel on Colima St.

Raquel's Young Adult Life

During and after Business College Raquel worked as a Senior Nursing Aid at Grace Memorial.

She married Frank G Segovia on June 3, 1961 and gave birth to her first born Francisco L Segovia. 

The small home on 1320 Montezuma was given to her parents when we moved to Houston and then later she gave the house to her sister Vangie so that she and her husband had a place to stay after their mission work ended in South America's Equador and Peru.
